JOSIE'S POEMS
Seasons and Weather Poems
By Josie Whitehead
WHISTLING DOWN THE WIND
By Josie Whitehead
Whistling Down the Wind
The wind is roaring in the hollows
And dancing over land and seas.
It's whipping waves upon the oceans
And stripping leaves off all the trees.
It causes plants to shake and shiver
And whistles down the chimney pots.
It sends the storm clouds racing forwards,
Catching sails upon the yachts.
The gates and fences cry in anguish
And people’s hats are carried high,
But, when you wake tomorrow morning,
You’ll find the wind has said goodbye.
