WELCOME TO MY ARK
(Part 6)
By Josie Whitehead
NARRATOR
Was this really the end of the story? No, just one more thing:
GOD’S RAINBOW PROMISE
God told Mr Noah:
'Now it’s time for you to leave,
But there’s something I must tell you
Which I’m sure you will believe.
‘You’ll never need an ark again
To keep you safe and dry,
And to prove my promise will be kept,
Just look into the sky.
‘You see that pretty rainbow there?
It’s my promise made to you.
It has lovely colours in its arch,
Up in a sky of blue.
‘Of course you’ll also need some rain,
To help to grow your crops,
But you’ll never need to be alarmed
For the rain will always stop.

'I hope mankind will always love
This truly lovely place,
And will treasure it and show respect
In its special home in space.

You've everything you'll ever want
To meet your earthly needs.
Don't ruin the world I've given you
By selfishness and greed.'
