THE RAIN FAIRIES

Rain Fairies (The)

They ride upon the stormy clouds
     That journey on the winds:
Six rain fairies on clouds of white
    With brightly coloured wings.

​

Thunder roars and lightning strikes;
     Then, as the rain comes down,
The rain fairies peep from the clouds
     And gaze upon our town.

​

They hide behind the rainbow arch
     And shelter from the mist.
High up above our planet earth -
     That’s where they all exist.

​

We couldn’t do without the rain
      To grow all living things.
It makes our rivers flow along
     And waters flowers in spring.

​

Thank God for tiny rain fairies
     And all the work they do.
You may not see them in the sky
    But they’ll be watching you.

​

​
