THE OWL AND THE STAR
By Josie Whitehead
Owl and the Star (The)
Said the star to the owl, sitting high in the tree:
'Fly up in the sky and then come and see me.'
Said the owl to the star: 'Oh twit twit twoo –
Flying in space? No, that wouldn't do!'
'Well, let’s wave to each other,' suggested the star,
'For I have to agree that your Earth’s very far.'
So look up at night for a star looking down
As it twinkles its light to the owl in your town.
