Ode to the Apostrophe
A A poor and oft forgotten friend
​
P Put on this earth, but to what end?
​
O Oft despised and viewed with scorn
​
S So little loved, we soon might mourn.
​
T To you who look condemned to die
​
R Rise up and fight – don't sit and cry.
​
O Oblivious of your situation,
​
P People just need education.
​
H Here's hoping we don't say farewell -
​
E End his abuse and wish him well.
Oh - And from an early age, may we
Learn to love the apostrophe!
​
