JOSIE'S POEMS
Funny Poems for Children

NO MORE SNACKS PLEASE
By Josie Whitehead
My teacher does a dreadful thing -
She confiscates our sweets.
She goes through all the lunch boxes
Removing all our treats.

She tells us that they’re bad for us.
She says we should eat well.
She teaches us it’s best to wish
Our chocolates farewell.

Our fizzy drinks all disappear
And also Mum’s good cake.
Her greedy eyes explore my box
And then the crisps she takes.

I looked in through the staffroom door
And know what happens next.
It’s teachers who stuff all our treats
At lunchtime down their necks.
