MONSTERS

Cruel monsters can hide in many a place -
In a cupboard, a box or on somebody’s face.
They are experts at hiding - you make no mistake -
And the things that they do can make your heart break.
They’ll hide in a head deep down in the mind.
They’ll cause you to say those things that aren’t kind.
They’ll make you show spitefulness, cause you to hate.
When you do as they tell you, they’ll really feel great.
Monsters will tell you the things you must do.
Are you going to let them move in and rule you?
By rejecting their promptings you’ll find they have fled
And you'll then show your kindness to others instead.
