Water Droplets

ONE MILLION FEET

One Million Feet

One million feet are pattering
    Upon my window pane.
One million drops are chattering:
     'Look out!  Here comes the rain!'

​

One million feet come clattering
     On dark streets, cold and bare.
One million drops are splattering
      On you, me and everywhere.

​

One million feet are scattering
     One million drops of rain.
One million raindrops offering
      Life to the world again.

​
