I saw my love the other day -
Tall and slim with eyes of grey.
    Such a smile and blackest hair!!
    I didn’t mean to stand and stare.

I saw my love the other week,
Walking quickly down our street.
    For him, I think I don’t exist,
    But in my dreams we’ve really kissed.

​

My love saw me the other day.
Our eyes just met and there they stayed.
    Oh, my other news will have to wait
     For I can’t be late for our first date.
