JOSIE'S POEMS
Funny Poems for Children
By Josie Whitehead
I keep a penguin in my pocket
By why, I cannot tell.
He’s happy travelling round with me
And penguins never smell.
I keep a penguin in my pocket.
You’d never know it’s there,
Though when it peeps outside, my word!
Well, people start to stare!
I keep a penguin in my pocket,
But the children all tell me
They think that I am rather cruel
For penguins like the sea.
I keep a penguin in my pocket,
And I expect that you do too.
It helps me write the daftest poems
When there’s little else to do.
