HAVE YOU EVER MET TROUBLE?

By Josie Whitehead

Have You Ever Met Trouble?

Have you ever met Trouble?

     You haven’t?  You will.

He travels in silence

     And brings no goodwill.

He looks for a target –

    I hope it’s not you!

So move away quickly

    Whatever you do.

Avoid trouble-makers;

    Don’t answer them back.

They’re working for Trouble;

     Don’t let them attack.

Don’t argue, don’t dither;

     Don’t think you can win.

For Trouble’s a monster

     Who wears a big grin.

Make a good group of friends

     Who’re kind-hearted and true:

And when Trouble comes looking,

     He won't pick on you!
