FISH AND CHIPS AGAIN

By Josie Whitehead

Fish and Chips Again

'What’s for dinner?' asked the Queen.
       The King looked anxious too.
'It’s fish and chips,' replied the cook
And the smell said it was true.

Crispy chips with battered cod
     And lots of buttered bread.
'We could have had some coq au vin - -
But we love our fish instead.'

'What’s for dinner?' asked the King.
The Queen said: 'Fish and chips.'
She gobbled up her fish and chips
     And even licked her lips.

'It wouldn’t be the same, my dear,
     Without tomato sauce,
And a pot of English tea’s a 'must',
With milk in it of course.'

'What’s for dinner?' asked the prince.
     'Not fish and chips  a g a i n!!!'
And, fed up with his fish and chips,
He became the King of Spain.
