JOSIE'S POEMS
Easter Poems/Yorkshire Poems

EASTER-TIME
By Josie Whitehead
Easter-Time
Sweet daffodils in yellow gowns
Look out across our busy town,
And beds of pansies - purple, white -
Display a bold but joyful sight.
White cherry-blossom ladened trees
Throw out their blooms upon the breeze
Which settle on the dampened grass
To watch the shoppers as they pass.
The church clock strikes from high above
And lovers walk and talk of love -
Hearts entwined with love sublime
And all because it’s Easter-time.
