DAFFODILS IN THE RAIN

Daffodils in the Rain

Nodding gently in the breeze;
Bathed in rain beneath the trees;
     Yellow trumpets, bold and proud,
     Throwing scorn upon the cloud.

​

You do not heed our joy or sorrow
But herald hope of bright tomorrow.
     Nodding heads of golden treasure
     Bringing joy and springtime pleasure. 

​
