A CHRISTMAS DECORATION
By Josie Whitehead
Christmas Decoration (A)
*
‘Twas
the day
before Christmas;
I thought I’d go mad.
The presents weren’t wrapped
and had I forgotten poor old Dad?
Yes ‘twas the day before Christmas
when my pies were quite burnt.
The oven belched smoke!
What a lesson I’d
learnt!

‘Twas
the day
before Christmas,
but the icing went runny
With my turkey still frozen,
it certainly wasn’t very funny.
Well ‘twas the day before Christmas
when I packed up my case and
when Christmas arrived
I’m afraid that I
disappeared
without
trace.
